Bay Splendour, nestles in a quiet cul-de-sac only ten minutes walk from the old world charm of Simon's Town, South Africa's premier naval station. Cape Penguin Cottage

Cape Penguin Cottage is situated in Simon's Town, close to three beaches with safe swimming, smallish waves and no backwash or rip currents. The centre of Simon's Town is 1 km away, and is an interesting historical naval town with restaurants, museums and shops. Cape Penguin Cottage is an ideal place from which to explore Cape Point, Kalk bay or Cape Town. The cottage is secured around the perimeter and there is off-street parking for one car with space for other cars a little further down the road. The cottage sleeps 5 adults in 3 bedrooms and a mattress can be put out for an additional child. The main bedroom which is ensuite has a queen size bed. The second bedroom also has a queen size bed and the third bedroom has a single bed. There are plenty of built-in cupboards in each bedroom. There is a small selection of toys and books for children to enjoy. There is a car booster seat and backpack for carrying a small child.There is a separate family bathroom with a bath and toilet. Upstairs, an open plan lounge/dining/kitchen area leads onto a small wooden deck. There is a lovely sea view from the dining/kitchen area window and deck. The fully equipped kitchen includes a fridge/freezer, microwave, glass hob and oven and a dishwasher. There is an HD TV with DSTV premium and a DVD player, various books and games and free WiFi. Elsewhere in the cottage is a washing machine, ironing board, iron and a hairdryer. There is a flight of 12 stairs with a child safety gate at the top. Outside there is a braai/barbeque area, which is nicely sheltered on windy days, a small herb garden and an outdoor shower. In town you can book to go diving or snorkelling, kayaking, whale watching and shark cage diving etc.The penguin viewing site and 9-hole golf course are close by.

Moonglow Guest House

Moonglow is situated on the slopes of the Simon's Town Mountains overlooking False Bay with spectacular 180' views across False Bay to the Hotentot Holland Mountain range in the distance. Sit on the deck and watch the whales or read a book and enjoy the views especially at night when the moon rises in the distance and makes a path of light across the bay. There are 6 well appointed ensuite bedrooms all with seaviews. 4 rooms have queen beds and all rooms have percale linen with hand embroidered duvet covers. Rooms have TV, Fridge, Hairdryer, Tea and coffee tray prepared each evening. Breakfast is served in the dining room from 7.30 am and includes Fresh Fruit, stewed fruit, fruit juice, cereals, cold meat platter, muffins and bacon, eggs, tomato and mushrooms with either tea or freshly made filter coffee. Simon's Town is the naval base of South Africa so there is plenty of naval activity in the bay. There are activities such as kayaking in the bay or taking a boat trip to Seal Island and mabe see a Great White shark or two. The Penguin Colony at Boulder's Beach is close by. Cape Point is 20kms away along a very scenic route. The Gemstone Factory is close by and has a fine selection of jewellery. The train station is close by and one can take a trip into the centre of Cape Town or just travel along the coast to Muizenberg and walk back part of the way along a path created on the rocks at the edge of the sea. Visit the winelands of Stellenbosch and Franschoek and sample some of the Cape's finest wines and enjoy a meal in one of the many superb restaurants. Cape Town is a 40 minute drive away to visit Table Mountain, The Castle and the Waterfront wher you can take a ferry to visit Robin Island. Take a trip along Hout Bay and watch the sun set or see the fishing trawlers return with the day's catch. No1Living Waters

This beautiful townhouse is situated above the Naval Harbour in Simon's Town. The panoramic view is spectacular. You can look down onto the harbour, yacht club, and out to Glencairn,  Kalk Bay and Gordon's Bay; in fact a clean sweep of the entire bay. The lights at night are magical and romantic. The house is close to major tourist areas such as Cape point, Boulders Beach, Constantia Valley wine farms. It is a town of great historic value with wonderful museums. The town is architecturally very unique and dates back to the early 1700's. There are lovely paths and steps leading through lanes down to the village which are great if you like to explore. The town has lovely restaurants too. There is a train service from Cape Town to Simon's Town. The townhouse consists of 3 bedrooms which sleep 5 and has 2.5 bathrooms; one being a walk in shower downstairs which is great after a sandy day on the beach. The main bedroom has an ensuite shower and wash basin, and an enclosed balcony from where the view is spectacular and at night the lights are enchanting. The second bedroom has 2 single beds, and the 3rd bedroom a single bed with a built in desk/ dressing table. All bedrooms have full built-in cupboards. Downstairs the living area is open plan with a large very well - equipped kitchen. There is a multifunction microwave oven, convection oven and hob, a new fridge / freezer, large grocery cupboard and washing machine and tumble dryer. There is a yard with a wash-line. The lounge / dining area opens up through patio doors onto a deck which has table and chairs for alfresco dining and braaing. There is a small enclosed garden. A limited DSTV bouquet, video machine, DVD player and radio are available. There is a secure single garage, with an automated door, and a workshop area suitable for the storage of luggage trailers. Guest parking is available within the complex. The area is renowned for its sailing, hiking, cycling, diving, swimming and kayaking. The beaches are very safe for children and because of the rocks safe from sharks too, Seaforth, Boulders, Windmill and Fisherman's beaches are popular. For those who are interested there is shark cage diving and tours to Seal Island. The Flying Penguin offers B&B and self-catering accommodation in Simon's Town.  We offer a family-sized penthouse as well as two cozy suites for two. All our accommodation has panoramic views of False Bay from Hangklip to Muizenberg.  Each bedroom has an en-suite bathroom and shower, with the penthouse offering an additional victorian slipper bath.
